Keto Chicken Pizza Crust recipe that is homemade and the entire family will enjoy. This is the perfect recipe if you’re on a Keto diet eating low carbs.

Keto Chicken Pizza Crust
Who doesn’t love a good pizza crust? Am I right?
Since I’ve been trying to eat a bit healthier and my doctors have recommended me that I take out bread from my diet I’ve been looking for other ways to make some of my favorite recipes.
Especially when it comes to pizza nights.
We usually make homemade pizzas on Friday movie nights.
Our girls love making their own pizzas and we get to spend some time cooking in the kitchen together.
There’s no way I am giving up my pizza crust and I hope you don’t as well!

Ground Protein To Use
I also wanted to add that many of us are having a hard time finding protein at the stores right now and purchasing what we can find during these hard times.
This recipe is perfect to make with ground turkey if that’s all you can find at the stores.
I’ve made it with both and it tastes delicious. Both of my girls love it.
I would also try with other ground proteins.
The trick is to season and have a nice base to lay the pizza toppings on.

Ingredients Needed For Keto Pizza Crust
For me, the most important thing when it comes to making this chicken pizza crust is the seasoning.
You don’t want to overpower the seasoning, but you want to add enough that the crust has a nice Italian taste.
- 1 lb. of ground chicken (you could even make this with turkey)
- 1/2 a cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoon of almond flour (optional)
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon of shredded parmesan cheese (optional)
- 2 teaspoons of Italian seasonings
- Parchment paper
- Baking pan
- Rolling pin
- Olive oil spray
For this recipe, you can do without the parmesan and almond flour if you prefer not to add it.
I think it gives it a thicker consistency and gives it a more bread-like feeling without any of the carbs. Just make sure to add more mozzarella cheese.

How To Make Keto Chicken Pizza Crust
Making your pizza crust is very similar to the baking regular crust.
The only difference is that you are using chicken instead of flour as your main ingredient.
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- In a medium bowl add your ground chicken, egg, mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, almond flour, and Italian seasonings.
- Using your hand mix all of the ingredients together until it forms a ball.
- Note, the consistency will be mushy and soft.

- Cut out two sheets of parchment paper.
- Spray one of the sheets with olive oil spray and lay your chicken mixture on it. This mixture can stick easily.
- Lay your second sheet over and press down.
- Using a rolling pin flatten your mixture until it forms a round shape like a pizza.
- Dispose of the top parchment paper in the trash.
Tip: I also like to use my hands to smooth the edges in the mixture and make sure that the shape is round like a pizza.

- Add your parchment paper and crust on a baking sheet.
- Bake in the oven on 400 degrees for about 20 minutes.
- You are baking just the crust first and then you will add your toppings.

- After 20 minutes or when you see that your crust has a golden color remove from the oven.
- Now it’s time to add your favorite toppings and sauces.
For the purpose of this recipe, I created a simple marinara and mozzarella cheese pizza.
You can create any type of pizza using this chicken crust!
- Add your sauce, cheese, and toppings just like you would a regular pizza recipe.
- Then bake on 400 degrees for another 8-10 minutes or until cheese is melted.

Topping Ideas For Pizzas
You can add any of your favorite toppings on this pizza crust.
I love that the recipe holds very well and you can actually pick it up just like regular pizza.
Here are a few of my favorite ways to make pizza:
- Alfredo sauce, topped with mozzarella cheese, spinach, bacon, and red onions.
- Marinara sauce, topped with mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, bacon, and mushrooms.
- Marinara sauce, topped with mozzarella, ricotta cheese, and basil.
- Plus, so many more ways!
Maybe you don’t want to make a pizza, instead, cut your crust into triangles and enjoy as “bread” sticks dipped in marinara sauce.

What are your favorite pizza toppings?

My crust was all water around the edges half way through. Is that because I omitted the almond flour and egg?
Most likely because you omitted the almond flour. The flour allows it all to bind together and taste more like a crust consistency. You can use coconut flour or regular flour if you prefer too.
Do you know if this freezes well? Like make baked crust ahead of time and freeze it? Then pull out to thaw and add toppings and bake again? Or freeze raw?
Hi Jamie! Yes, these freeze great. Just make sure to add parchment paper in between so they don’t stick together.
Can you freeze crusts to use later?
Hi Randy! Yes, these freeze great. Just make sure to add parchment paper in between so they don’t stick together.
How thick is the crust once rolled out into circular shape?
I like to keep my crust thick, but you can certainly roll it out thinner about an inch or so.
I made this according to the directions, but couldn’t find my almond flour so I just put in extra Parmesan cheese. I topped it with Alfredo sauce, turkey bacon, sliced tomatoes, and spinach. It was delicious! My only suggestion would be to add salt and pepper to the chicken crust mixture before baking, and be sure to roll it thin.
Great suggestion Teri! So glad you liked it!
Can this be made ahead of time and frozen until ready to use?
Hi Jennifer! Yes, these freeze great. Just make sure to add parchment paper in between so they don’t stick together.
Have you made any of these and froze them? I’m thinking I would use them more if they were ready to use. Suggestions on how to do this?
Hi Abby! Yes, these freeze great. Just make sure to add parchment paper in between so they don’t stick together.
It was good but how do you make the crust more firm? It was too soft
Hi Kris! I would suggest either adding a bit more flour next time, or you could let it bake for a bit longer as well to crisp it up. Make sure not to roll it too thin because it will break a bit easier if you do. Personally, I prefer the crust a bit thicker, so I can pile veggies on top without worrying that it will fall apart. I hope that helps.
So is this raw ground chicken?
Yes, I use raw ground chicken, and then I bake.
I followed the recipe exactly. Rolled it a little thinner than 1/2 inch. It was so good! Browned like the picture, texture was great! Will be making this often! Thank you!
So glad you liked it!!
I used already cooked chicken breast, so I needed to add 2 small eggs. Otherwise cooked and looked like your photos. Tasted really good also.
So glad you enjoyed it!
I made this for the first time tonight. The instructions were very easy to follow. I didn’t have almond flour, but the crust turned out perfect. I made it with pizza sauce, pepperoni and different cheeses. It was so good and my husband loved it too! Thank you so much
So glad you loved it!
Can you use canned chicken?
Hi, Paula! I’ve actually never tried it with canned chicken. I’m thinking it might not stick together, but maybe adding some mozzarella to keep it together might work.
I didn’t add the almond flour but did add Parmesan cheese. Excellent. This is 4th time I made it and we love it!!
I might need to try it this way next time! So glad you enjoy the recipe!
This was my first chicken crust pizza and I have to say it’s much better than I anticipated. I did use the almond flour and parmesan cheese, my crust was watery but I continued cooking until the water was gone and crust was golden brown. I would recommend this recipe for anyone trying to avoid carbs.
I’m so glad you enjoyed it! It’s one of my favorite recipes!
We made this with sugar free sweet baby rays bbq sauce, topped with mozzarella, bacon crumbles, red onion, mushrooms and black olives! Delicious!
Wow, that sounds amazing!!!
