Jack Skellington Halloween Pumpkin
I’m not a big fan of carving pumpkins. Sorry, it’s just so messy and gooey! Now painting, that I could do with my girls all day long.
That’s why we are creating one of our favorite Disney Halloween characters to display with our decorations this year!
Jack The Pumpkin King has such easy features that it’s the perfect Halloween pumpkin craft to take on this year.

I think Jack Skellington has been one of the easier pumpkins we have painted this year. Just take a look at our other Disney pumpkin crafts like Sheriff Callie.
Now that was a craft that took all of my concentration.
We’re all about decorating for the month of Halloween with lots of pumpkins.
Customizing our pumpkins by painting some of our favorite characters makes it much more fun.
This Jack Skellington Halloween Pumpkin is the perfect decoration to add to your home.
If you use a fake pumpkin, just throw a Santa hat on him. Now you have a Jack pumpkin for Halloween and Christmas!
The girls were both super excited about our DIY Jack pumpkin craft, but they were wondering where Sally was.
So, I guess I should add a pumpkin Sally to our Halloween craft list.
Hopefully, we will be able to make her soon!
Supplies Needed To Paint Jack Skellington
- A pumpkin (it can even be a fake one so that you can use it every year)
- White tempera paint
- Black tempera paint
- Paint Brush
- Pencil (to draw lines)
How To Make A Jack Skellington Halloween Pumpkin
- Begin by painting your entire pumpkin white. You may need to do two coats, but one regular-sized bottle of tempera paint should be enough to cover your pumpkin.
- Using a pencil, draw where you want Jacks’ eyes and mouth to go. This helps ensure that the lines and eyes are even on both sides.
- Use black tempera paint to line out your pencil and color in the eyes, nose, and mouth.
- Allow drying.
Like I said above, if you use a fake pumpkin, Jack will also be the perfect Christmas decoration for your Nightmare Before Christmas fun!

So cute! I love the kitty pumpkin. Painting and decorating is less messy then carving the pumpkin. Plus it doesn’t rot so quickly. Just so you know, Scraptastic Saturdays is the new linky in town. I would love it if you linked up this week. All linked up projects will be shared via FB/Twitter/Pinterest. Hope you come join the party. Have a wonderful weekend.

We love the pumpkins. We are big fans of the Nightmare before Christmas. I’m reading this with my three year old on my lap and she just keeps saying “Mommy I want that!”
