Sheet Pan Chicken Fajitas recipe that takes only 30 minutes and will become a weekly staple in your home. The perfect recipe for 5 de Mayo that even the kids will love!
Sheet Pan Chicken Fajitas
I probably should have shared this easy sheet pan fajitas recipe before Cinco de Mayo, but here it is.
This is one of our favorite weekly dinner recipes to make, mainly because everyone in the house loves it! Including my two girls.
We do tacos every week and we switch between regular hard-shell tacos to fajitas.
As always, you all know that I’m about recipes that don’t take me long to make, but most importantly recipes that don’t keep me in front of the stove very long.
This is why I love the pan fajitas so much!

Ingredients Needed For Chicken Fajitas
- Carne Asada seasoning or taco seasoning works great as well
- Chicken
- 2 Green bell peppers sliced
- 2 Onions sliced
- Red bell peppers (optional)
- Yellow bell peppers (optional)
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Lime (optional)
- Cilantro (optional)
You will see that I don’t use red or yellow bell peppers in my recipe and that is because we won’t eat it.
So, I use onions and green bell peppers only. You can create your recipe however you know your family will enjoy it.
Plus, this recipe is also perfect for steak fajitas too!
How To Bake Sheet Pan Chicken Fajitas
This fajita recipe is pretty much a slice, throw it on the pan, add seasonings, and bake!
Super easy and full of delicious flavors.
- Preheat oven to
- Slice your chicken, onions, and peppers into strips.
- Add your chicken, peppers, and onions in a single layer on your sheet pan. It’s up to you if you want to add tin foil.
- Drizzle some olive oil over your chicken and vegetables.
- Sprinkle the Carne Asada seasoning on everything. I don’t measure this part, I just add as much as I want to create flavor. The more seasoning you add the more flavor your food will have.
- Gently stir the chicken together and then the vegetables to make sure every piece is covered with oil and seasonings.
- Bake in the oven for about 25 minutes or until the chicken is thoroughly cooked.
- Squeeze half a lime and sprinkle cilantro over the fajitas. Toss together.
- Serve immediately with warm tortillas and your favorite toppings.
Tip: If you want to warm up your tortillas cover them in tin foil and add to the oven when there are 5 minutes left.
The Best Fajitas Toppings
When it comes to fajitas you can add any of your favorite toppings. Here are a few of our favorites!
- Pico de gallo
- Shredded cheese
- Sour cream
- Guacamole
- Hot sauce
- Refried beans (my girls love them with beans)
How To Make Fajitas Keto
The best part about this recipe is that everything on the pan is keto-friendly. Instead of using tortillas for your fajitas, make a fajita salad bowl instead.
This way you are able to enjoy the delicious chicken, peppers, and onions with all of your favorite keto-friendly toppings.
I like to use either shredded green lettuce or chop up fresh romaine lettuce.
