How To Make Orange Chicken
This recipe will take you about 30 minutes from start to finish.
- Bake your chicken nuggets in the oven according to the packaging.
- While your chicken nuggets are being cooked, start making your orange mix.
- To make your orange glaze, whisk together your orange marmalade, BBQ sauce, and soy sauce in a large bowl.
- Once the chicken nuggets are all cooked, add them to your orange glaze and coat completely.
- Add your orange chicken back to the pan and bake for an extra 5 minutes.
- Serve with hot white rice or my easy fried rice recipe.
Tip: I like to just add my chicken back in the pan so that I’m not dirtying any other dishes.
You could also sauté them on the stove in a pan or you can simply microwave your orange glaze before coating the chicken nuggets.
If you have younger children, you may not want to heat up the sauce because the chicken nuggets will be warm once you pour over the orange glaze.
Perfect Fried Rice Recipe
Although, technically this is my chicken fried rice recipe, you can easily omit the chicken.
Just make the recipe by following the directions without adding the chicken.
Serve this recipe right over the fried rice for the perfect combination!
I hope you try my fried rice and orange chicken recipe!
How Do I Store Orange Chicken
The best way to store your chicken is in the refrigerator in an air tight container.
If you know you will have left overs because you made extra, keep the orange glaze in a separate container.
Just add once you are ready to enjoy the next day.
This will avoid the chicken going soggy or soft.
Heating Up Left Overs
If you are heating up left over chicken that has been glazed with the orange sauce the best way to get that crunch again is to bake your chicken.
Just add them to a baking pan at 350 degrees and bake for about 8-10 minutes.
The trick is to heat up the chicken while giving it that crunchy bite at the same time.
