Ingredients Needed For Buffalo Chicken Dip
This easy buffalo chicken dip only needs five ingredients to make.
- 1 rotisserie chicken or shredded chicken
- 8 ounces of cream cheese – I prefer Philadelphia Cream Cheese
- 1/3 – 2/3 cup hot sauce (such as Frank’s®)
- 1 packet dry ranch dressing mix or 1/2 cup of ranch dressing
- 1/2 a cup of shredded cheese
- 1/4 cup of shredded cheese saved for later
- Sliced scallions (optional)
Rotisserie Buffalo Chicken Dip Recipe
There are so many ways you can make your buffalo chicken dip, but one of the best ways, if you’re in a hurry, is to make this dip with rotisserie chicken.
The instructions are the same, the only difference is that instead of making the shredded chicken in the slow cooker or crockpot you will be pulling the chicken off your rotisserie chicken.
If I’m short with time I purchase a fully cooked rotisserie chicken at my local grocery store.
We love Publix rotisserie organic chicken. Then I simply have my husband pull off all of the meat and throw it into the slow cooker.
If you have time to make your own slow cooker shredded chicken make sure to check out how I do that!
How To Make Buffalo Chicken Dip In Slow Cooker
This recipe is so simple that you can easily make it at the last second before your guests arrive to watch the big game or taking with you to an event.
I suggest doubling the recipe because this buffalo chicken dip recipe is going to be the hit of the party!
If you’re going to make your own shredded chicken make sure to start with that first and I’ve even created a recipe to share with you.

- Add the cream cheese, hot sauce, ranch dressing, and shredded cheese on the chicken
- Cook on low for about an hour and then mix all of the ingredients together
- Keep cooking on low for another 3 hours
- Right before scooping out your dip add the rest of your shredded cheese to the crockpot

- Serve with your favorite chips

Is This Buffalo Chicken Dip Keto

I love making it because my family loves it and I can also enjoy it with them.
Instead of eating the dip with chips or crackers I eat them with vegetables instead.
- Carrot sticks
- Celery sticks
- Whisps Parmesan chips (my ultimate keto snack and dipping chips)
- Cauliflower
- Broccoli
How To Store Buffalo Chicken Dip
If there are any leftovers of your chicken buffalo dip the best way to store it is in an airtight container.
You can refrigerate your chicken dip for about 3-4 days, but I don’t think it will last that long in your home.
If you decided to make a large amount and want to store for a later day, then you can also freeze your chicken dip for about 7 days.
This is a great way to get ahead in the week if you know that you will be having friends over or you will be bringing an appetizer to an event that weekend.
How To Reheat Buffalo Chicken Dip
To reheat your buffalo chicken dip you can either pop it in the microwave or you can add it back into your slow cooker.
I would either add a bit more cream cheese and hot sauce to make it creamy once again.
The chicken absorbs the moisture once it’s sitting in the refrigerator, so if you see that it tends to be a little on the dry side the next day, just add some more ingredients.
Can I Make Buffalo Dip With Greek Yogurt
Absolutely! I used to make my buffalo dip with greek yogurt until I made it with cream cheese. Now it’s my favorite way to enjoy it.
Plus, if I’m eating keto cream cheese is the perfect addition to the dip.
If you are wanting to make your buffalo dip with greek yogurt just basically substitute that for the cream cheese.
You could even add half cream cheese and half greek yogurt as well.
There’s really no way to ruin this buffalo chicken dip recipe!
