Crockpot Hot Chocolate
Nothing says Christmas like hot chocolate! We have a family tradition in which we all pack ourselves in the car in our pajamas with hot chocolate and cookies! This recipe just makes it that much easier for me to prepare the hot chocolate ahead of time. Then all I have to do is scoop into cups!
Plus, if you are having family over for Christmas morning or Christmas Eve, just create a simple hot chocolate bar with toppings for all of your guests.
Ingredients Need for your Crockpot Hot Chocolate:
6 cups milk
½ tub Cool Whip (1 1/2 cups whipped topping)
1-14oz can sweeten condensed milk
1-12oz package milk chocolate chips
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Whipped cream, optional
Chocolate sprinkles, optional
Chocolate syrup, optional
Place all ingredients in your crockpot and give it a good stir.
Set the crockpot to low for 2 hours. While stirring is a good idea to prevent scorching, it’s not essential – just stir when you remember to do so.
Once all the chocolate chips are melted turn it down to the warm setting. Whisk well before serving.
Garnish with whipped cream, chocolate syrup, and sprinkles.
Hope you have a chance to try out this super easy, yet delicious hot chocolate recipe this holiday season with your family! Remember, you can always add some fun toppings like peppermint candy cane, white chocolate, or even dark chocolate! YUM!
