I attended an early screening of Alice Through The Looking Glass. All MADDER than MAD opinions are my own!
To say that I am an Alice fan is an understatement, so of course I just had to see it for a second time early this week for an early screening of the movie with my cousin, who is just as mad as I am about Alice. After watching the movie for the second time, I realized that there are 5 Things I Want My Girls To Take Away From Alice Through The Looking Glass.
5 Things I Want My Girls To Take Away From Alice Through The Looking Glass
I believe Disney really knows how to add those special moments into their movies, that not only make it entertaining, but you can always take away something special from it. For Alice Through The Looking Glass, I took away 5 in total that I really want my girls to think about as they watch the movie.
Your Sister Will Always Be Your Sister
For me this is lesson number one that I want my girls to take away from the movie. No matter your differences, your sister should always be your best friend and as we all know, the White Queen and the Red Queen have always had their differences and we finally find out in Alice Through The Looking Glass why that is.
Nothing Is Impossible
If you know Alice, then you know that then word “impossible” doesn’t exist in her vocabulary and I want my girls to be the same. I want them to know that nothing is impossible in this world and if they believe in their dreams, work hard, then it can become a reality. The one person that needs to believe in you… is you!
Time Is Precious
We learned in the movie that time is a he and he doesn’t take himself for granted. As we move on through life we sometimes don’t realize how precious life is. Spending time with loved ones and living life to the fullest is something my girls must do always. You never know what could happen and you don’t want any regrets in life.
Look At The World As No One Else Does
We all know that everyone in Wonderland looks at the world with their own perspective and it works for them. Some call them mad, but in reality, they are just looking at the world through their own eyes. When Alice looked at the looking glass she saw something others had never seen, helping her re visit Wonderland. Can you imagine how amazing the world would be if we could see them through Alice’s eyes? That’s exactly what I want my girls to do.
Always, Always Stay True To Yourself
In a world where everyone wants to be like someone else, I want them to be who they were meant to be. Staying true to themselves whether the way they dress, speak, dance, sing, or live life. We all know that Alice always stays true to herself and we see that immediately at the start of the movie. She becomes what she has always wanted, even though it’s not the “correct” way.
She knows what make her happy, but she also make sure that her family comes first. In a world where there is so much negativity going on, I say we all need to be Alice and look at the world in a more bright and magical way!
Will I be taking my girls?
For me, Alice Through The Looking Glass is my favorite movie thus far this year! I have been waiting for it to be released and it did not disappoint. Will I be taking my girls? Yes, absolutely! Alice Through The Looking Glass is perfect for the entire family and I know that they will enjoy it as much as I have. The Jabberbabywake makes several appearances in the movie, just like he did in the Alice in Wonderland.
I hope you all go see Alice Through The Looking Glass now in theaters!

Will you be going this weekend to see Alice Through The Looking Glass?

I agree!! There were some wonderful take-aways in this movie.
I’m also a huge Alice fan, and have already seen it twice. One of the things that draws me to Alice is her complete willingness to jump in with both feet, literally and figuratively. I love that she needs and loves her friends and family, but doesn’t need someone to ‘complete’ her. She is an adventurer, a trail-blazer, an entrepreneur, and has her own sense of style. Alice is truly a great role-model.
