As a mom I have many responsibilities like taking care of my children, home, homeschooling, and so much more! When it comes to taking care of my car I really do depend on my husband to get it done. Growing up in Puerto Rico my dad always made sure that our cars were running correctly for my mom. But now that I have a family of my own sometimes I have to take care of certain responsibilities if my husband is busy with work and I want to make sure that my car is getting the best treatment possible, so that’s why today I want to share with all of you Why Taking Care of My Vehicle is Essential For My Family.
As a family who loves to travel, visit theme parks, do homeschooling field trips, and truthfully need to go grocery shopping almost every single day – our car to say the least is essential in our life! Not only does our car provide us with getting us everywhere that we need to get to, but it also has sentimental meaning for us as well.
When I was pregnant with my youngest daughter my amazing father in law sadly past away. The emotions we all went through were difficult, especially being pregnant and our oldest already sharing a birthday with him. Technically he was my husbands step-dad, but he was in our eyes and amazing dad, father in law, and papa (which is what our daughter called him).
After he passed away my mother in law called us and told us that he really wanted us to have his mini van, which was practically brand new. He knew our family was growing and thought that we could really use a larger and second vehicle. He was right, we definitely needed the vehicle. To this day we are still grateful for our car and wouldn’t be able to do all the things we do today if we didn’t have it.
As you can see our vehicle really has sentimental value to us and it’s definitely one of the main reasons we do make sure that we always take care of it. Not only does it remind us of a special loved one, but it allows us to do everything that we need for our family.
Without our vehicle I wouldn’t be able to take my girls to dance class, or to the zoo for a hands on homeschooling activity, or be able to visit our family. Making sure that our vans oil and checkups are always up to date is essential to making sure it’s always running to its fullest, giving us the freedom we need.
That’s why I love that I can drive to my Walmart Auto Care Center and drop off to get serviced while I grocery shop with my girls. It really is the perfect amount of time too. The auto care service guys are fantastic and super helpful! Being able to ask them questions and allow them to help me pick the best oil for our vehicle was definitely re-assuring that I was making the right choice. They even walked me inside and showed my the three different choices of Quaker State Oil that I could choose that were perfect for my vehicle.
Like I mentioned above my husband usually takes care of the oil change of my van, but from now on I wouldn’t mind going to take it myself and will do with the confidence that the Walmart Auto Care Center and Quaker State Oil will take care of my mini van. Making sure it’s running better than ever on our next family drive!
