I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Rosetta Stone. I received a product and a promotional item to thank me for participating.

As a homeschooling mom with an educational background, reading is a very important part of our day at home. Not only is it important, but my girls really enjoy it. I’m always on the look out for educational programs that will help facilitate a fun learning style for my girls. Sometimes sitting with me is not enough, or we just run out of time.

Rosetta Stone Kids Reading Program perfect for Homeschoolers

Now with Rosetta Stone Kids Reading Program I don’t have to worry if there is enough time in the day to get through reading, because all it takes is 10-15 minutes a day for my girls to get on the computer or the iPad and their reading lessons are done. One thing that I always remind myself is that learning should be fun! I want my girls to want to do something and when they are asking me is it time for reading yet, I know that we have found something that they enjoy!

Rosetta Stone Kids Reading Program for kids ages 3-7

One of the visual features that both my girls and I loved about the Rosetta Stone Kids Reading Program is the fun and interactive way of reading. Believe me, kids are drawn to colors and fun characters. The characters in the Rosetta Stone Reading Program are the Lingos who live in Lingo Land! How cute is that?

The program is designed to help children ages 3-7 jump-start on their education by developing core literacy skills in an engaging and effective way.

Rosetta Stone Kids Reading Program Fun and Bright World

Kaelyn, who is five years old absolutely loved the Rosetta Stone Kids Reading Program and has been doing it for about 15-25 minutes a day. For her exploring new worlds and characters is definitely an attention grabber. Plus, for each level she plays the games bump up a level each time, meaning if she does a rhyming words adventure, then she can move up in levels in that same game and each time she plays it it becomes a bit more challenging each time. I think the challenge is just enough for her to enjoy it, while challenging her. One thing that she does not like is when programs jump too much and she gets frustrating because she now feels like she doesn’t know it, but with the Rosetta Stone Reading Program that never happened. The level being played was perfect for her!

When it comes to educational programs I usually don’t allow my youngest, who is now three to play very much with them, just because I have to sit with her step by step the entire time to help her. When she showed interest in the Rosetta Stone Reading Program, I thought, why not! As soon as the program started I can see the excited of something new, plus girls really do love to learn so I knew that she was going to really enjoy it.

I sat down with her and explained how to use the program. My oldest daughter was doing a lesson in the other room, so I left Kaidence my youngest to help Kaelyn with her work. Five minutes had past by and not once did I hear my name that she needed help! Once she knew how to jump from world to world, to pick her games, she just began playing and jumping levels! I love that at the age of three she already is learning how to use technology!

Our Top Five Reasons We Loved the Rosetta Stone Reading Program:

Kaelyn: Colors, funny, bright, fun, and she gets to play on the computer.

Kaidence: Music, characters, the stars (levels on each game), colors, and fun.

Mom: Positive encouraging statements, bright colors, fun characters, challenging, and easy to use.

Rosetta Stone Kids Reading introduces and reinforces core reading skills in engaging, self-paced interactive learning experiences personalized for each child. Such as phonological awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension. Partnering up with literacy experts Lexia Learning was the jump start to creating this kids reading program.

As parents we need to make sure that our children do not fall into the 47% of U.S. children who are below grade-level! This is a great way to re-enforce what our children are learning at home or in school. It  is our job as parents to help our children succeed and reading programs such as Rosetta Stones have been created to help us out to do just that.

Make sure to head on over to Rosetta Stone and check out the Free Demo for the entire first level of the program.
