Holidays At Disney’s Animal Kingdom is sure to add a unique element to the Walt Disney World theme parks this Christmas!
Holidays At Disney’s Animal Kingdom
We all know that Walt Disney World does the holidays like no one else does, but we haven’t always had all of the theme parks decked out in holiday wear.
Now we can not only enjoy the spectacular holidays at the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, or Holidaywood Studios, but Animal Kingdom is now being transformed into the wildest seasonal display!
Get it? Wildest? Animal Kingdom? Okay, okay. I’m not the best at making pun jokes, but I think you get the idea.
Thank you to Walt Disney World Resort for hosting our family and allowing us to experience Holidays at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Why You Should Visit Animal Kingdom This Holiday Season
This year Disney’s Animal Kingdom has added new festive entertainment and holiday decor in every land at the theme park.
Making it the perfect way to enjoy the park in a brand new way. I highly suggest seasonal visitors and annual pass holders to visit during the holidays.
You don’t want to miss out on all of the spectacular holiday displays, merchandise, and shows.
What Are Some Of The Holiday Additions At Animal Kingdom
Well, the best part about visiting the Animal Kingdom during the holidays months is that you will still enjoy the rides and activities.
Plus, some of the fun added throughout the entire park.
Animal Tree Greet Guests
As you enter Disney’s Animal Kingdom you will be greeted not only by the amazing Tree of Life, but some wintry friends as well.
Make sure to stop on by and take your time coming into the park.
The winter animals are so sweet, make the perfect photo opportunity with the kids, but they switch around.
You can take photos with life-size winter, hand-crafted puppets by community artists like penguins, polar bears, reindeers, and foxes!
It’s a welcome you don’t want to miss.
Awakening Of The Tree Of Life
Watching the awaking of the Tree of Life is one of my favorite things to do when visiting the Animal Kingdom theme park.
So, make sure that you don’t miss the magic of nature and the spirit of the holidays in this wintry awakening accompanied with holiday-inspired music.

Festive Holiday Character Meet and Greets
If your family is a fan of taking photos with all of the theme parks characters, then the holidays is the time to do it!
You will find some of our favorite Disney characters decked out in their wintry best ready to create new memories with you.
- Dug and Russell have decorated their club house, so make sure to stop on by the Wilderness Explorers.
- Mickey and Minnie Mouse are at Adventures Outpost decked out in their holiday wear and decorations.
- Donald Duck’s friends will be gathered at DinoLand U.S.A for all the festivities. There you can find Daisy Duck, Uncle Scrooge, Launchpad McQuack, and so many more!
Tip: If you are crunch on time and want to just visit a few characters, then make sure to visit some of the more unique ones who don’t come out often like Uncle Scrooge.
Pandora – The World of Avatar
One of the things I was most excited to see was Pandora – The World of Avatar decorated with some Pongu Pongu holiday decor.
There you will find items handcrafted from materials indigenous to Pandora.
Plus, make sure to look closely because you will see special holiday trees decorated with the lights that makes Pandora special.
When Is The Best Time To Visit Animal Kingdom During The Holidays
Because most of the decorations are lighted up when it begins getting dark, I highly suggest visiting the time park later in the day.
Especially if you are an annual pass holder or a regular Disney visitor.
Giving you the chance to enjoy all the holiday festivities and lights at it’s twinkling peak.
Plus, with the Florida weather cooling off more in the evening time.
It’s the perfect way to feel the holiday spirit throughout the park.
Will you be visiting the Holiday’s at Disney’s Animal Kingdom?
