This is a sponsored post with Speakaboos and TypeA Parent. All educational opinions are my own. #ChooseReading

One of the things that has always been apart of my life are books. I’ve always been an avid reader and really want my girls to do the same. This might be why I became a teacher so long ago. The love of reading is something that you can’t really teach your kids to do, but instead Guiding Your Child To Love Reading is a start the start for your child to love to read.

Guiding Your Child To Love Reading + Giveaway

This is where Speakaboos comes in our life! Now a days our technology is just amazing when it comes to helping our children thrive in life or in their education. We as parents just need to find out what really motivates them, so we can help them achieve these goals. As an avid reader and homeschooling parent I always want my girls to read daily, but as a busy mom I don’t always have the time to sit with each of them every single day.

I love that Speakaboos allows my girls to choose a story they love and either read to them or they can read it to themselves. Which is perfect for my two girls, because with one going into Pre-Kindergarten and other to second grade, I like to be able to use the same app for both.

Because we are always on the go, I do love the fact that  my girls can both read at the same time on different devices such as a computer, mobile phone, or tablet. Just think about al the summer fun you will be doing this year and those long hours either in the car or airplane. Now, think how much reading your kiddos can actually accomplish during these trips, without actually making them feel as if they were doing school work.

Speakaboos also really does have a little bit for every child. From Thomas the Train, to Princesses, to Sesame Street! I bet your child will be so immersed with all the selection that they have available that you might have to bring an extra charger with you!

With such a large selection of favorite characters you will see your child reaching for their tablets more often just so that they can read one of their favorite stories.

Rhyming stories is something that every child begins reading with. Not only does is help your child create rhyming words, but it’s also fun. These are the kinds of stories that we grew up reading and I love that Speakaboos includes some of our favorites such as The Three Little Pigs.

3 Tips To Guiding Your Child To Love Reading

  1. Ask them what they like to read – Most of the time our kids would be more than willing to read a chapter or two of a book that really interested them. Rather than us just giving them something we think they should be reading.
  2. Encourage them – Encouraging our children should really be number one, but once we have our children wanting to read we should still encourage them to do so and tell them what a wonderful job they are doing.
  3. Read to them – There’s nothing more that will encourage your child to read than to see you reading to them and how much you enjoy that time together. You don’t have to spend hours reading, but reading a book or a few pages from a chapter book will really allow them to connect reading with the love you have for them.
