“I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting (#MC) for Pull-Ups. I received product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.”
We have had so much fun Potty Training with Pull-Ups these past few months! Kaidence has definitely enjoyed all the great and fun designs the Pull-Ups training pants offer for potty training children.
We started a routine as soon as we began potty training. As soon as Kaidence would get up in the morning she knew to run to the bathroom take off her wet Pull-Up, go potty using her The First Years seat, and put a dry pull-up on. If she went potty she would get a sticker for her potty chart and got to use the Big Kid App as well! We also used the Big Kid Timer. We would set the timer for 10-15 minutes and when she went potty we would start the process again. If she went potty she would get a sticker and use the app.
After a few weeks of keeping consistent she started to feel more independent and confidant with herself. I could tell because she began going to the potty all on her own and she would get so excited when she did! She is so proud of herself, as we all are. Including her big sister, who is her biggest cheerleader!
If I could share any tip with potty training parents, it would have to be patience. Potty Training is not an easy task and all of our children are different and will be potty trained at different ages. You have never seen a 30 year old man or woman wearing pull-ups right? So, you know that eventually it will happen 🙂 Just encourage your child to try and be patient with them. They will get the hang of it, but be consistent! My oldest daughter was 3 when she potty trained and my youngest daughter is 2! They are all different, so we need to potty train them differently 🙂
Also, a great thing to keep in your car is a Potty System! We have a Princess potty system from The First Years in our van, just because if Kaidence has to go potty we don’t want to tell her to go in her pull-up. We want her to use the potty no matter where we are! Remember… consistency is the key!
Consistency is key during the potty training journey, so make sure to use all the amazing resources available at the Big Kid Academy! I’m pretty sure we used just about everything the app has to offer! Kaidence loved all the games she got to earn every time she went potty, the Big Kid Timer, the phone calls from Minnie Mouse, Mike, and Rapunzel, and of course the Potty Dance!
As you can see from the picture above Kaidence is officially Potty Trained!!! She is in Big Girl undies during the day and has moved up to using Pull-Ups Night Time Training Pants during nap time and bed time! We are so proud of her and so happy that Pull-Ups was able to help make the process so much easier!

To help make potty training even easier Pull-Ups has partnered up with The First Years! With the purchase of a specialty potty system from The First Years they will also receive a free sample pack of Pull-Ups Training Pants to tackle the potty training journey!

I’m glad you mentioned that each child is different. There are posts titled “Potty train your child in 3 days” or something similar, and that undoubtedly works great for some kids, but, as in everything else, all kids are different and progress at their own rate. Congrats to your little one on her potty learning success!

I completely agree Emma! We as parents definitely need to realize that all kids are different and we shouldn’t push something on them that they are not ready for. Eventually it will happen 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!
