One of the things that we love most about living in Florida is all the wonderful attractions and theme parks, but everything is so much more special during the holidays! When theme parks bring in the magic of the holiday season with decorations, activities, and new shows! One of our all time favorite theme parks to visit during the holidays is Universal Studios during their Oh What Fun It Is Holiday Celebration!
I wanted to share all the 5 Must See Events at Universal Studios Holiday Celebrations that we personally enjoyed the most with our two little girls!
Islands of Adventure
1. Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular
This amazing show is full of Who’s, singing, and a lot of Christmas! If you or your children are Dr. Seuss and Grinch fans, then you don’t want to miss out this fun show! It must be our favorite part about visiting Universal Studios during the holidays. We have seen the show for the past three years and it’s always amazing! Check for showtimes when you get to the parks and plan on getting in line about 30 minutes before.
The spectacular live show features recorded music by Mannheim Steamroller! Check out the video below.
2. Meet and Greet the Grinch
After each Grinchmas show the Grinch will come out for photo opportunities. Every year we take pictures and meet the Grinch. This year I was hoping to purchase the pictures and make them into our Christmas card, especially because Kaidence loves the Grinch so much, but as soon as we got a bit closer she didn’t want anything to do with him! Well… maybe next year?! It’s still a lot of fun to get to meet him, plus he is so funny! Quick tip… try to meet the Grinch before getting in line for the show, catch the end of the line from the last show. There is always less people then 🙂
3. Enjoy all the Who-liday Decorations at Seuss Landing
Walking around Seuss Landing and enjoying the decorations is a must with the kids! They have tons of photo opportunities available, especially when the Who’s come out to play with the park guests! This year was the most I have seen them walking around. They are always so much fun to talk to and take photos with!
Universal Studios
4. Macy’s Holiday Parade and Floats
What’s the best next think than watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade? Watching the Macy’s Parade at Universal Studios! You can’t get any closer than this experience with these amazing floats. Plus, get to see and take pictures of yoru favorite Universal characters all dressed up for the holiday season! Make sure to keep an eye out for the fun confetti that explodes into the streets and get there early if you want a good spot! We personally like to stand in front of the Terminator Show or by the big Christmas tree by the Mummy ride.
5. Manheim Streamroller Live Concert
Every year I have missed the Manheim Streamroller’s live concert at Universal Studios because the girls were so young we would leave early, but this year I made sure not to miss it! They are absolutely amazing, but get to the stage early to get a good spot on the grassy area! This is the perfect time to settle down, have a drink and snack, while enjoying amazing Christmas music! If that doesn’t put you into the holiday spirit, I don’t know what will!
Here’s how amazing they sound!
