Easter is right around the corner and there is no better way than to create some cute Easter crafts! This Thumbprint Easter Egg Keepsake craft is perfect for the kids to get their hands dipped in paint and have a bit of fun! They make great Easter decorations or even gifts for loved ones.

Thumbprint Easter Egg Keepsake

Thumbprint Easter Egg Keepsake

Every holiday I’ve tried creating something with my girls that I can hang up or frame to keep every year. It’s a great way to keep memories stored for years to come.

Thumbprint Easter Egg Keepsake Materials

Materials needed to create your thumbprint Easter craft:

  • Black & White Paper
  • Craft Paint
  • Paper plate
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Other decorations (optional)

Thumbprint Easter Egg Keepsake step1

Start by drawing the outline of a large Easter egg shape onto the white paper.

Glue the egg onto the black paper. (you can use any color, I just like how the black makes the colors pop!)

Thumbprint Easter Egg Keepsake step 2

Press finger and thumbs into the different color paints and imprint them onto the Easter egg in different shapes and patterns.

Allow the paint to dry completely.

Thumbprint Easter Egg Keepsake step 3

Once the paint is completely dry allow your child to decorate as they would like. Remember it’s their egg, allow them to use their imagination!

Another great idea is to make this with smaller eggs glued onto a folded piece of construction paper to make a card!

As you can see this is a super simple, but fun Easter craft that the kids can have fun with during spring break or even on Easter morning. Hang it up in your home and see how it lights up their faces to see their own craft being displayed for all to see!

Do your kiddos enjoy creating Easter egg crafts?
