I am an Ambassador for Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. I was provided with tickets to visit Busch Gardens Tampa. No other compensation was provided. All opinions shared are mine and mine alone.
One of my favorite parts of the Christmas holidays are the decorations! We were so excited to visit Christmas Town at Busch Gardens Tampa to check out all of the Christmas decorations and activities!
We visited Busch Gardens last week on the first day of their Christmas Celebration Christmas Town and we had the most amazing time! From the moment we entered Busch Gardens there were decorations everywhere and picture opportunities in every corner. I really could go on and on about the amazing time we had at Busch Gardens, so here were our top moments and our favorite activities!
I got so many wonderful Christmas family pictures! The girls were so excited about the lights and we couldn’t wait for the sun to go down so that we could see them all twinkling!
Kaelyn had a chance to take pictures with some of her favorite Sesame Street friends in their holiday Christmas outfits right after watching Elmo’s Christmas Wish show. Make sure to get there early to grab a seat. This is a very popular show and it fills very quickly, but it’s worth it! Especially if your kiddos are Sesame Street fans.
I have to say that Busch Gardens really went all out for their Christmas Town celebration! We were truly impressed with all the lights, snowy touches, and special picture areas. Every so often certain areas around the park would begin to snow and the girls would just run around in excitement! One of my favorite spots was Mistletoe Memories, right across from the Madagascar Christmas Vacation show. The trees are full of lights, decorations, and it snows every few minutes! It really makes a magical moment with a special someone!
The best thing about Christmas at Busch Gardens is that not only are you enjoying all the wonderful lights, holiday treats, and shows, but you also have a chance to enjoy all the animals. My girls loved watching the elephants being fed. Plus, the Christmas shows like Madagascar Christmas Vacation and Christmas on Ice are a must see!
The entire park is lit up with thousands and thousands of lights! Over one million of twinkling lights to be exact, but our favorite part had to be the North Pole and Santa’s House! It was absolutely amazing and the girls loved running around and taking pictures by all the lights.
Our absolute favorite part of course was visiting Santa’s House! I have to say that Busch Gardens went above and beyond with this!! As a parent of two little girls who will not sit still in line for two hours to wait to see Santa, I am so grateful that they had a pager and time return. Our name was put on a list and given a pager that would vibrate once it was our turn to see Santa. They told us to return around 90 minutes to make sure that the pager picked up the signal. There are signs that let you know if you pass that point your pager will not work. So it made it easy for us to keep within range.
The best part was that we went on with our afternoon and didn’t have to wait in line. Saw some animals, watched a show, and took lots of pictures with the twinkling lights. Exactly 90 minutes after we returned and made sure to say in front of Santa’s house waiting for our turn and sure enough our pager went off! I loved that we were able to keep enjoying the festivities and did not waste all that time just standing in line with two tired little girls.
To even think that was the best part… I was totally wrong! Not only were we greeted by Mrs. Clause, we also got to see Santa’s Elves! The girls were taken down a hallway hung with stockings and at the end a magic mirror in which only those who believe would be able to open the mirror and reveal Santa in his office, surrounded by toys! It was absolutely magical and perfect! I think my girls were absolutely in heaven!
After visiting Santa you will have the option to purchase your pictures, which we absolutely did! It is by far our favorite Santa picture! The picture above I took myself, but I loved that we were able to take a family picture too! Which by the way was Santa’s idea! On the way out make sure to get your chocolate chip cookies from Santa’s Elves! YUM!
One of the activities that we were not able to do was the Elf Academy because it was booked for the day we were going, but if you get a chance it looks absolutely amazing! Plus, you get to visit Santa without having to wait at all 🙂 Make sure to make reservations prior to visiting though!
As you can see, we had an amazing time at Busch Gardens. Make sure to check out Busch Gardens Christmas Town website to check out all the great activities and shows during the Christmas Season!
