Every holiday season my girls look forward to our baking day! We make a list of our favorite cookies and spend the entire day baking them together as a family. Yes, even daddy included! So this year we are Baking Memories with Holiday Blossom Cookies and they were a big hit! Baking Memories with Holiday Blossom Cookies

Baking Memories with Holiday Blossom Cookies

This year I wanted to have my girls try some new recipes during our holiday baking cookie day, so we went online to check out Betty Crocker 24 Days of Cookies and the other variety of recipes they offer. Together they decided that they wanted to make the Holiday Blossom Cookies as their holiday treat. Of course, I really think they wanted to make these because of all the sprinkles on it and I know that the chocolate in the middle really helped them decided together.

Baking Memories with Holiday Blossom Cookies ingredients

I headed to my local Winn-Dixie store to pick up my ingredients to create our baking memories! To make our holiday blossom cookies we needed just a few simples items, which made it easy and fun for my girls to make them. The prefect Christmas cookies!

Ingredients needed to create Holiday Blossom Cookies:

  • 1 pouch Betty Crocker sugar cookie mix or any flavor
  • Colored sugar and holiday sprinkles
  • Hershey’s® Kisses® Brand chocolates

**Make sure to get all the ingredients needed on the back of your Betty Crocker sugar cookie pouch

Step One: Heat oven to 375 degrees. In a medium bowl, make dough as directed on the back of the pouch for drop cookies.

Step Two: Shape dough into (1-inch) balls.

Step Three: Roll each dough ball in colored sugar or holiday sprinkles. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. We decided to make thumb prints on our cookies before baking so that our chocolates would sit easily and not melt the chocolate too much.

Step Four: Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until light golden brown. Allow cookies to sit for a few minutes and then transfer to cooling rack. Press 1 chocolate candy in the center of each cookie.

**Store cookies in tightly covered container.
