For the past few months my youngest daughter who is 3 has been begging me to do school, but not just any school. She wants to do school just like her big sister! At the age of 3 I believe that she should be exploring the world and learning through play, but now that her sister is starting to do more of the “big” kid work she wants to do the same. Our CHALK Preschool experience couldn’t have started at a better time! Here are 5 Reasons Why We Love CHALK Preschool, but most importantly why my 3 year old looks forward to it everyday!
Reason 1: Kid-Safe Content On the Go
I absolutely loved the fact that we are able to take our CHALK Preschool Lessons on the go! When big sister is at her weekly homeschooling group my youngest and I usually go grocery shopping and she loves being able to watch her lessons and videos while we do. It also makes grocery time fun for me, because she is sharing what she is learning as we walk down the aisles.
I also don’t have to worry about her jumping into another website or afraid she is going to be exposed to inappropriate ads or websites.
Reason 2: Daily Lessons
Having an older child and planning daily lessons can be overwhelming itself, but having to create a different learning environment for a younger child just adds more pressure. I love how CHALK Preschool Online has daily lessons my daughter is able to click on and emphasizes on a lot of the lessons we do on a daily basis such as singing the days of the week, months of the year, and even learning about the weather.
Reason 3: Hands-On Activities
My girls are both really into arts & crafts and activities that go with lessons. This is definitely a plus feature of CHALK Preschool Online! Instead of you having to find activities to go with daily lessons the ideas are given to you with instructions and everything you need to complete your craft or activity. If your kiddos love cooking with you in the kitchen, then they will definitely love the fun recipes shared!
Reason 4: Custom Playlists
With the custom playlists I am able to mark my daughters favorite videos for easy access! She loves being able to watch the same videos over and over again. Now she walks around the house singing the Hello Song!
The videos are fun and interactive, so my daughter actually sings and dances along with the videos. It’s like having a virtual teacher singing with you. Some of the songs are very similar to songs I personally used in my Pre-K classrooms when I taught and still use in my home with my daughters.
Reason 5: Sibling Friendly
I absolutely love that this is something that my girls can do together! My five year old loves to sit with her little sister and watch the daily lessons together and singing videos. This kinda defeats the purpose of getting homeschooling done at the same time, but if it makes them happy and they are learning, that’s all that matters! The colors and animation are so bright and fun that children of any age will definitely be drawn into the videos!
I absolutely love that I can sit with my older daughter for lessons that she needs my help with such as reading, while my youngest daughter sits a few feet away completing her own lessons. By the time she finishes they are both ready for some arts & crafts they can do together!
