Since Kaelyn was born we have been so careful with what she eats, especially during candy holidays! That doesn’t mean that I don’t try to make special fun snacks for her and believe me sometimes I have to think outside the box!
S’mores is a treat that we eat a lot at home during special holidays because it is easy for me to find safe ingredients and everyone enjoys them! So, when Heather from Krafts & Kiddos shared her Valentine Smores it gave me the idea to make some safe ones for Kaelyn to enjoy! I found these fun Limited Edition Chocolate Strawberry Marshmallows at Target one day and decided to try them out! The girls thought they were the best S’mores EVER, so we created some Valentine’s Day Strawberry Marshmallow S’mores!
Ingredients Needed to make your Valentine’s Day S’mores:
- Jet-Puffed Chocolate Strawberry Marshmallows
- Enjoy Life Chocolate pieces
- Graham Crackers
- Valentine’s Day sprinkles
They girls said that the Chocolate Strawberry Marshmallows tasted just like chocolate marshmallows! They were so excited!
We used the microwave to melt the chocolate and heat up the marshmallows. The girls then sandwiched the two pieces together. I also bought them some Valentine’s Day sprinkles to decorate their S’mores. I had them squeeze some of the marshmallow out of the graham cracker just so that they could roll around in some sprinkles.
I think the girls really enjoyed their early Valentine’s Day treat! They can’t wait to share with friends at their Valentine’s Day party this week! Our girls don’t get to have many sweets, because of Kaelyn’s allergies, but when they do I want to make sure that it’s special for both of them!
